Search “board game stats app” in any app store and you’ll find a handful of good options that all do slightly different things. There’s no single “best” app. It depends on whether you want to track your own collection, your whole game group, or just want the scoring done for you at the table.
We’ve used most of these ourselves. Here are the apps worth knowing in 2026, what each one is for, and where each one falls short. Including us.
BG Stats (Board Game Stats)
The best-known app in this space, made by Dutch developer Eerko Vissering (called “BG Stats” by most people, “Board Game Stats” in the app stores). It’s a polished app for logging games, managing your collection and getting detailed stats and charts. It links closely with BoardGameGeek, so your collection and play history can sync with your BGG profile.
Platforms: iOS and Android. Price: Free to download, with optional in-app purchases for cloud sync and extra “deep stats” charts.
Good for: Serious hobbyists who log every game they play and want detailed personal stats. If you already use BoardGameGeek a lot, this fits right in.
The catch: It’s built around your collection and your games. You can note who else played, but comparing your record against a friend over time isn’t its focus.
NemeStats
A free, open-source web tracker made for gaming groups, not personal collections. You create a Gaming Group, invite your regular players and log results as you go. It shows win rates, streaks and a fun “Nemesis” and “Minion” feature: the player you lose to most and the one you beat most.
Platforms: Web (works on phones), plus an Android app. Price: Free, no ads, open source on GitHub.
Good for: Groups who want group stats and like the idea of an open-source project. Nemesis and Minion are a fun way to show rivalries.
The catch: It works, but it looks plain. It also doesn’t offer other languages, or a way to log guests and link them to an account later. That matters if your group doesn’t all speak English or hasn’t all signed up.
Score Door
A newer app that puts privacy first. It’s free, has ready-made scoring for 45+ popular games, six scoring methods (race, round-based, win/loss, final score, ELO rating and co-op) and leaderboards. Its biggest plus: it works fully offline. No account, no server, nothing leaves your phone.
Platforms: iOS and Android. Price: Free.
Good for: Anyone who wants quick scorekeeping during a game and cares about privacy. No sign-up, no data collection.
The catch: Because everything stays on one phone, your group has no shared history. If two people log the same game night on their own phones, those records never meet.
A shared tracker for your whole group
All three apps are good at what they do, and all three are built mainly around one person’s phone or collection. If your games are a group thing, you want a tracker built around your shared history, so the group’s record lives in one place instead of on everyone’s own phone.

The catch: We’re newer than the others, and we don’t have BG Stats’ collection management or BoardGameGeek sync yet. If cataloguing your whole collection is what you want, BG Stats does that better than we do.

Plenty of people use more than one: BG Stats for their personal collection, and a group tool like Skorio or NemeStats for the friends they play with every week. Two tools for two jobs is fine.
What matters when you choose
- Is it for you, or for the group? This is the biggest choice. Everything else is detail.
- Will everyone use it? The app with the most features is useless if half your group won’t install it or sign up. Easy beats feature-packed.
- Privacy or sync? Offline-only (Score Door) and synced group tools (Skorio, NemeStats, BG Stats with cloud sync) pull in opposite directions. Pick what matters more to you.
